SINPROMI - About us
The Sociedad Insular para la Promoción de las Personas con Discapacidad, SINPROMI, S.L. (Society for the Promotion of Disabled Persons, Ltd.), is part of the Tenerife Island Council. Founded in 1993, SINPROMI’s goal is to achieve normalcy for people with disabilities by focusing on the following objectives:
- Encouraging and administering comprehensive programmes, professional training, and integration in the employment sector.
- Promoting the suppression of physical barriers and the development of accessible environments, and providing information and technical support to individuals and public and private entities.
- Fostering the use of New Technologies, as well as the development of Distance Learning and Telecommuting Projects.
- Favouring the full participation of people with disabilities in society, and fostering the enjoyment of cultural resources, sports, tourism, and leisure activities by all members of society.
- Commercialising products created by people with disabilities in Occupational Centers and Special Employment Centers.
